Things To Do In Venice

Venice canalAs one of the premier tourist spots in the world, Venice is home to so many breathtaking vintage architectural wonders and marvels. It is considered to be one of the most attractive places in the world and it would be a very good starting point if you plan to tour the world.

One of the most interesting things to note about Venice is that it still looks and feels the same as it was centuries ago. Some of its most important sites still retain the aura that it had years before and that’s what is most appealing about Venice. Even though it has began to decay during its heyday, it is still heavily visited by several tourists. Amazingly, there are more tourists than residents.  However, even though that is the case, the romantic charm of the city still remains.

If you would like to tour Venice, be sure to drop by its many museums that showcase architecture and artifacts that date back to the centuries. You have the Correr Museum on San Marco Square. You also have Palazzo Ducale where you have a guided tour named Secret Itinerary which will allow you to discover the part of the palace where the city’s administration worked. You’ll also be able to see Casanova’s jail as well as the wonderful five-hundred year old roof structure on top.

If you fancy theaters, you might want to visit Teatro La Fenice which has a historic theater audioguide which is customizable to several languages. After being burned down in 1993, the theater has been rebuilt in 2003 to preserve the memories of the structure.

When you’re already strolling Venice, you might want to simply check out the various sights of the bridges, piazzas and canals that are littered across the city. You should try to look for the Rialto market as well as the Rialto Bridge located in San Polo. The bridge has become one of the city’s most significant and most recognizable icons with a history that spans over 800 years.

Venice is one of the tourist spots in the world that will simply flood you with so much history by just strolling in it. Even though it looks and feels like centuries, it is still able to attract various tourists. This is one of the best places to visit if you want to be able to see a bit of vintage history and a spectacular view. Venice is definitely the place to be.
